President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is heading today to the French Republic to participate in the G7 summit, held in the French city of Evian, in the presence of the heads of state and government of the member countries of the group, in addition to a number of invited countries, including Egypt, which is participating as a partner country.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is participating in the G7 summit, which is being held under the French presidency of the group and will begin today and end on June 17, 2026 in the French city of Evian.
The summit will be attended by the heads of state and government of the G7 member countries, and a number of countries invited to participate in the summit as a partner country, including Egypt, as well as the President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission, and the heads of a number of international and regional organizations.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the summit meetings are scheduled to address a number of topics, including promoting global economic growth, exploring ways to resolve international geopolitical crises and address their impact on trade, energy and supply chains, as well as accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, and aspects of international cooperation in the fields of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
Egypt's second participation in the G7 summit
Ambassador Mohamed El Shenawy, the official spokesperson, pointed out that the President’s participation in this summit is Egypt’s second participation in the G7 summit.
Egypt participated for the first time in the summit held in the French city of Biarritz in August 2019, during Egypt’s presidency of the African Union.
The official spokesperson stated that Egypt’s participation in the summit confirms its pivotal role in advancing development and stability efforts in the Middle East.
He added that the President is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit meetings with a number of leaders of participating countries, most notably a bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump.
