Egypt's ambassador to Djibouti meets with members of the Chamber of Commerce to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
As part of the activities of the joint Egyptian-Djiboutian Business Council.

Ambassador Abdul Rahman Raafat met, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt In Djibouti, today at the headquarters of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce with members of the Djibouti side of the Egyptian-Djibouti Joint Business Council, and with the participation of Youssef Moussa Dawaleh, President of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce.
The two sides reviewed the developments in trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance it, in light of the directives of the political leadership in both countries and the fraternal and historical ties and common interests that unite the two brotherly peoples.
Enhancing trade exchange between the two countries
The meeting addressed ways to enhance trade exchange between the two countries, with the ambassador noting in particular the prospects for revitalizing the tourism sector in light of the upcoming launch of a third weekly flight by EgyptAir between Cairo and Djibouti, starting from July 7, which will contribute to enhancing trade, tourism and movement between the two countries.

Operating an air cargo flight
The ambassador also noted the ongoing efforts to operate a direct air cargo flight for Egyptian goods to Djibouti in the coming period, as this will have a positive impact on supporting trade exchange and facilitating the movement of goods between the two countries.
The meeting included a review of the ongoing preparations for a number of high-level ministerial visits from the Egyptian side to Djibouti, reflecting Egypt’s keenness to enhance economic and trade cooperation with Djibouti and to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in both countries.
Various areas of economic and trade cooperation and promising investment opportunities were also discussed, within the framework of preparations underway for holding the first session of the joint Egyptian-Djiboutian Business Council in the coming period.
