On the eve of the celebrations of the National Day of Independence of the Republic of Djibouti, the capital witnessed, on Friday, the second edition of the Civil Parade, which, since its launch in 2025, at the initiative of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, has become one of the most prominent annual events on the national agenda to promote the values of citizenship.

Djibouti organizes its second civic parade to promote national unity and belonging among young people.
This year’s edition witnessed a remarkable development in the organization of the event, through joint coordination between three ministries: the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, the Ministry of Youth and Culture, and the Ministry of Sports.
This institutional cooperation reflects a clear political will to make civic engagement a means of promoting national unity and instilling national values and belonging among Djiboutian youth.

The event also received support from the security forces, who secured the parade route and ensured smooth traffic flow, in addition to the Ministry of Health, which provided the necessary medical services to ensure the safety of the participants throughout the event.

The parade started from the headquarters of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, passing through the center of the capital and June 27 Square, reaching Republic Street, before concluding in front of the National Center for Teacher Training, where the final parade was held, and the events concluded with the playing of the national anthem in a scene that embodied the national symbolism of the event.
