32 people arrested in possession of weapons and drugs in large-scale security operations in Chad

As part of its ongoing efforts to combat crime and promote public security, the National Police in N'Djamena, Chad, announced the arrest of 32 people suspected of involvement in various criminal cases.

This came during coordinated operations carried out by several security units, including the investigations cell, police stations, the General Directorate of Intelligence, and the Directorate of Immigration.

According to security data, the detainees face suspicions related to aggravated theft and armed robbery, forgery and use of forged documents, physical assaults, intentional beating and wounding, in addition to cases related to drug trafficking and use.

The security interventions also resulted in the seizure of quantities of prohibited materials and equipment used in illegal activities, including firearms, vehicles, counterfeit banknotes, and tools suspected of being used in counterfeiting currency, in addition to a considerable quantity of drugs, including about 600 strips of Tramadol, as well as motorcycles, a computer, mobile phones, and belongings that are likely to be stolen.

This operation comes in the context of the security authorities tightening their procedures to confront various forms of organized crime, and to enhance the sense of security among citizens in the capital and its surroundings.

It is worth noting that this operation comes amid escalating security efforts aimed at curbing organized crime, particularly that related to drug trafficking and currency counterfeiting, reflecting a trend towards strengthening the multi-agency security approach.
