Saudi Arabia supports education in Chad: 23,000 students benefit from a development project in 8 states
Conclusion of a project aimed at developing the educational environment

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center concluded a project to support the education sector in the Republic of Chad, in cooperation with the Education Development Organization in Chad, in a step that reflects the continuation of Saudi efforts aimed at promoting human development and supporting vital sectors in sister countries.
The project aimed to improve the educational environment and provide the basic needs of students, thereby contributing to raising the quality of the educational process and easing the burdens on families, especially in the most needy areas.
The project is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives implemented by the center in a number of countries, focusing on providing a suitable educational environment that allows children to continue their education in better conditions, based on the conviction that education is one of the most important pillars of sustainable development and building societies.
23,000 school bags and uniforms for students
The project witnessed the distribution of 23,000 complete school bags containing basic educational supplies, in addition to providing school uniforms for a similar number of male and female students, which contributes to preparing students for the school year and easing the economic burdens on parents.
This initiative aims to encourage children to attend school regularly and reduce obstacles that may prevent them from continuing their education, especially in areas facing economic and social challenges, where school supplies are an essential element in supporting the educational process.
Providing school places to reduce overcrowding
The project was not limited to providing school supplies, but also included equipping schools with 5,750 double student desks, designed to accommodate four students per desk, which helps to improve the learning environment inside classrooms and reduce overcrowding, which positively impacts the quality of education and the level of academic achievement.
Developing school infrastructure is an important part of efforts to support education, as it contributes to providing a more suitable environment for students and teachers, and enhances the ability of educational institutions to accommodate larger numbers of students.
Eight Chadian states are within the scope of the project.
The project benefited 23,000 students in eight Chadian states, including N’Djamena, Lac, Hadjer-Lamis, Kanem, Mayo-Kebbi East, Logone Occidental, Guéra, and Batha, reflecting the breadth of the initiative and its reach to multiple areas in need of support in the education sector.
The project emphasizes the importance of cooperation between humanitarian institutions and local organizations in implementing sustainable development programs that respond to the needs of communities and contribute to improving basic services.
