Written by: Badr Ahmed

The head of the African Center for Dispute Resolution and Peacebuilding, Dr. Diou Madojk, affirmed that Sudanese people, especially the parties involved in the conflict, bear the greatest responsibility in reaching a solution to the crisis the country is experiencing, despite the multiplicity of regional and international parties concerned with the Sudanese file and the complexity of their interests.

Madok said in exclusive statements to Zoom Africa News that the Sudanese crisis has become a subject of wide interest from neighboring countries, regional countries, and the international community, given its importance and impact on the region's stability. He pointed out that political, security, and economic interests have made many external parties involved in efforts to find a settlement.

Sudanese people have the biggest role in resolving the crisis.

He explained that the regional and international community have a desire to see Sudan overcome its crisis and regain stability, but the success of any initiative remains contingent on the will of the Sudanese themselves. He added that the real solution must emerge from within, through the consensus of Sudanese forces to end the conflict and place the country's interests above all other considerations.

Madbouly added that the Sudanese parties bear the greatest share of responsibility in building peace, stressing that any external support or mediation will not achieve sustainable results unless it is coupled with a serious national will to end the crisis and reach a comprehensive settlement that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people.

The head of the African Center for Dispute Resolution and Peacebuilding pointed out that the multiplicity of regional and international initiatives reflects broad interest in the Sudanese crisis, but at the same time stressed the importance of maintaining Sudanese ownership of the political process, as they are the most capable of determining their country's future and formulating solutions that fit their reality.

Maduko affirmed his support for the principle of African solutions to African problems, explaining that this approach remains the most effective option in addressing conflicts within the continent, as it is based on an understanding of the nature of African societies and their political and social complexities.

He concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the African Centre for the Resolution of Disputes and Peacebuilding continues to support all efforts aimed at ending the conflict in Sudan and encouraging dialogue among the various parties, contributing to lasting peace, restoring security and stability, and paving the way for a new phase of national consensus and the rebuilding of state institutions.
