From Chad to Morocco: 100 young people on a journey to create future entrepreneurs
The program, which runs for three years and is fully funded by a Moroccan university, aims to train Chadian youth.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports in Chad, in partnership with the Private University of Health and Sciences of Agadir (UPSSA) in the Kingdom of Morocco, announced the launch of the “Excellence in Leadership Program”, which allows 100 young people from all 23 provinces in Chad to join an integrated training program in Morocco, starting with the start of university in October 2026 and lasting for three years.

The program aims to prepare a new generation of Chadian entrepreneurs through academic and practical training within the university, along with accompanying participants in designing and developing sustainable projects that meet the economic, social and environmental needs in their regions, thereby contributing to job creation, promoting economic activities and investing in local resources.
The ministry confirmed that the program will be designed according to the needs of each participant, combining training and guidance, incubation programs, preparation for obtaining funding, and follow-up on the implementation of projects on the ground, with a focus on the areas of entrepreneurship, management, leadership, innovation, digital transformation, finance, international trade, governance and project management.
The cooperation also includes organizing training camps (Bootcamps), innovation and programming events (Hackathons), entrepreneurship competitions, specialized academies, incubation programs, in addition to international conferences, with the aim of building an integrated entrepreneurship system in Chad.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports explained that the Private University of Health and Science in Agadir will bear the full cost of the program, including 100 fully funded scholarships over the three years, as part of its academic and organizational contribution to the success of the initiative.
The ministry confirmed that the program comes in implementation of the vision of Chadian President Marshal Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, which places empowering youth, creating job opportunities, and achieving balanced development between different regions among the state’s priorities.
She also expressed her appreciation to the Kingdom of Morocco and to King Mohammed VI for their support of African cooperation and human capital development, and thanked the Private University of Health and Science in Agadir and its president, Dr. Hamid Wahbi, for their support of Chadian youth and their confidence in their abilities.
For his part, Chadian Minister of Youth and Sports Nair Abakar said that the program embodies the state’s vision of empowering young people and transforming them into active participants in the development of their regions, noting that the goal is not limited to training 100 young people, but rather preparing leaders capable of launching projects that create economic value and job opportunities and contribute to the development of their provinces.
He added that the ministry will put in place a fair and transparent selection mechanism that ensures representation of all 23 provinces, in addition to monitoring the participants throughout the program. The conditions for candidacy, the timetable, and the selection criteria will be announced soon, stressing that investing in youth is a direct investment in the future of Chad.
