The National Security Service in South Sudan announced on Wednesday that its headquarters, known as the “Blue House,” in the capital, Juba, was damaged by a fire that broke out inside the building. Initial reports suggest that the cause was an electrical malfunction.

The agency's spokesman, David John Komory, said the incident did not result in any injuries, confirming no human losses were recorded due to the fire.

Komori explained that the agency's leadership formed a specialized investigation committee to ascertain the circumstances of the incident, determine the exact cause of the fire, and assess the extent of the damage to the headquarters.

Authorities have not yet announced additional details regarding the nature of the damage or when the investigation results will be released.
