Republic condemns Egypt The Arab League strongly condemns the attacks targeting the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain using Iranian drones, considering them a violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty, a threat to its security and stability, and an unacceptable escalation that undermines efforts to reduce tension in the region.
Egypt condemns the drone attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and affirms its full solidarity with it.
Egypt affirms that these attacks come at a time when regional efforts are moving forward towards consolidating the path of de-escalation and stability, which necessitates refraining from any actions that would fuel tensions or undermine efforts aimed at strengthening regional security and peace.
Egypt condemns attacks on Bahrain
Egypt reiterates its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and all the sisterly Gulf states, and its full support for all measures taken to preserve their security and stability, and affirms that it stands with the Kingdom of Bahrain in confronting all that threatens its security and territorial integrity.
Egypt condemns the opening of a purported embassy for the Somaliland region in occupied Jerusalem.
In a separate context, the Arab Republic of Egypt condemns in the strongest terms the illegal and unacceptable step taken by the so-called Somaliland region to open an alleged embassy in the occupied city of Jerusalem, in flagrant violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and in direct violation of the legal and historical status of the occupied city of Jerusalem.
Egypt affirms its complete rejection of any unilateral measures aimed at consolidating an illegal reality in occupied Jerusalem or granting legitimacy to any entities or arrangements that violate the rules of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, reiterating that East Jerusalem is occupied Palestinian territory since 1967, and that any steps aimed at changing its legal and historical status are null and void and have no legal effect.
Egypt also emphasizes its full support for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and its complete rejection of any unilateral actions that affect the unity of Somali territory or diminish its sovereignty.
Earlier, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned in the strongest terms the news that the breakaway region of “Somaliland” intends to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem with Israel.
The Secretary-General described this move as “legally invalid in every respect,” and an unacceptable provocation to the Arab and Islamic worlds, while also warning of the serious consequences of Israeli penetration into the Horn of Africa region.
