The Ministry of Petroleum announced that it is nearing completion Construction work is underway on its new headquarters, known as the “Twin Towers,” on the Juba-Yei road, in a move aimed at enhancing the work environment and developing the infrastructure of government institutions linked to the oil sector, one of the most important economic sectors in the country.
Developing the oil sector in South Sudan
The ministry stated that the new complex will provide modern workspaces and advanced technologies that will contribute to raising the efficiency of institutional performance and improving administrative and technical services, thus supporting efforts to develop the oil sector and enhance its role in driving economic development in South Sudan.
The Ministry of Petroleum appreciated the role played by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Santino Ayol Longar, in following up on the project and supervising its various stages. It also commended the technical and engineering efforts made by the National Engineering Company in implementing the project and turning it into a tangible reality.
The project comes as part of the government’s efforts to modernize government facilities and provide a more advanced working environment for state institutions, at a time when the country is looking to increase investments and improve the management of its oil resources.
