During the forum, the Head of the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine reviewed the Egyptian experience in implementing the plant health program since its local launch in September 2023, noting the positive results it has achieved, including opening new export markets for Egyptian agricultural products and facilitating the access of exports to global markets.

Egypt previously presented this experience during the 20th session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM20), as a successful model in supporting the agricultural trade system and strengthening phytosanitary measures.

Al-Mansi stressed during his speech that sustainable investment in plant health is one of the main pillars for achieving food security, enhancing safe agricultural trade, and building more resilient agricultural systems capable of facing international challenges and shocks, which contributes to supporting sustainable agricultural development on the African continent.
