Former Egyptian Foreign Minister: “Zoom Africa News” website is a tool to support Egyptian foreign policy on the continent

Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, the former Egyptian Foreign Minister, participated in the launch ceremony of the website Zoom Africa News ZOOM AFRICA NEWS officially today, in the presence of a number of Egyptian and African officials and experts specializing in African affairs.
During his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Al-Arabi said that the ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website will become a very important platform for Egyptian foreign policy, noting that Egypt pays special attention to the African continent.
He added that the website could become one of the arms of Egyptian foreign policy, by contributing to clarifying official positions, conveying information, as well as supporting the presentation and clarification of joint projects and highlighting them.
Al-Arabi confirmed his expectation of the site’s rapid success, noting that it would witness a large turnout of followers who would view it extensively, considering that it would launch with an activity that serves the African continent and Egyptian foreign policy.
The former ambassador stressed that African media needs to strengthen mutual communication between the peoples of the continent, saying: “African media needs to listen to each other and clarify the facts.”.
Launch of the ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website
The launch event for the ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website officially kicked off today, with the attendance of a number of Egyptian and African officials and experts specializing in African affairs.

The conference was attended by a host of officials and experts on African affairs in Egypt, headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Ambassador Karim Sharif, former Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, and a number of Egyptian and African officials and public figures in Cairo.
For her part, journalist Sally Atef, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief, announced the launch of the ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website in three languages, Arabic, English and French, to be the first African portal for news.
