On behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, participated in the reception held by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Cairo on the occasion of the twenty-seventh anniversary of the accession of the Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI, to the throne, stressing the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Morocco and the keenness of the two countries to enhance cooperation in various fields.

The Minister of Civil Aviation began his speech by conveying the greetings of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to King Mohammed VI, along with the Egyptian government’s congratulations to the Kingdom of Morocco, its leadership, government and people, on this national occasion, expressing his wishes for Morocco to continue its path of progress and prosperity.
Al-Hafni stressed that Egyptian-Moroccan relations are witnessing continuous development, based on a long history of cooperation and mutual trust, noting that next year will witness the celebration of seventy years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which reflects the strength of the political and historical ties between Cairo and Rabat.
He explained that the convening of the first session of the Egyptian-Moroccan Coordination and Follow-up Committee, chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries last April, represented an important step towards expanding the horizons of economic, trade and investment cooperation, in implementation of the directives of the political leaderships in Egypt and Morocco, in a way that contributes to achieving common interests and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Minister of Civil Aviation pointed out that the rapid developments taking place in the region and the world necessitate strengthening coordination and consultation between the two countries, and taking advantage of the available capabilities and opportunities to support sustainable development efforts, while emphasizing the special nature of the popular relations between the two peoples, and the Egyptian state’s keenness to provide various aspects of care for Moroccan citizens residing and studying in Egypt.
Al-Hafni also reviewed the most prominent achievements made by the Egyptian state in the areas of infrastructure development, improving the investment climate, and enhancing the participation of the private sector in the development process, praising the development renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom of Morocco under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.
He affirmed Egypt’s readiness to harness its expertise and capabilities to support development efforts in Morocco, particularly in the context of preparations for hosting the 2030 World Cup, reflecting the close level of cooperation between the two countries.
The Minister of Civil Aviation concluded his speech by renewing the Egyptian government’s congratulations to the Kingdom of Morocco on this national occasion, expressing his hope to continue strengthening cooperation and partnership relations in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the Egyptian and Moroccan peoples for more progress and prosperity.
