موريتانيا تتطلع لتطوير علاقات التعاون مع مصر

أكد الرئيس محمد ولد الغزواني، رئيس جمهورية موريتانيا، حرصه على العمل مع نظيره الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية، من أجل تعزيز التعاون بين نواكشوط والقاهرة.
جاء ذلك في برقية وجهها ولد الغزواني، للسيسي بمناسبة احتفال مصر بعيدها الوطني.
وأضاف ولد الغزواني: “بمناسبة احتفال بلادكم بعيدها الوطني، يسرني أن أعبر لفخامتكم عن أحر التهاني، متمنيا للشعب المصري الشقيق المزيد من التقدم والرخاء، كما أجدد لكم حرصنا على العمل مع فخامتكم – سويا – لتعزيز وتطوير علاقات التعاون القائمة بين بلدينا خدمة لمصالح شعبينا الشقيقين”.
Discussions between Mauritania and Benin to continue political dialogue and support economic exchange
وفي وقت سابق، اتفق رئيس جمهورية موريتانيا، محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني ونظيره البنيني روموالد واداني، خلال مباحثات أجرياها الاثنين في نواكشوط، على مواصلة الحوار السياسي ودعم المبادرات المشتركة الرامية إلى تعزيز التبادل الاقتصادي والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة، بما يخدم مصالح الشعبين.
The Beninese presidency stated that the discussions, which took place at the presidential palace during a one-day working visit by the Beninese President to Mauritania, focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, and reviewed the state of relations between the two countries and prospects for elevating them to a more structured partnership based on strategic sectors.
She added that economic development, security, connectivity, and regional integration issues topped the agenda of the discussions, emphasizing that the visit reflects the shared ambition of Mauritania and Benin to build a strong cooperation based on trust, solidarity, and a unified vision to face the challenges of development, peace, and integration in the African continent.
For its part, the Mauritanian presidency clarified that President Mohamed Ould Sheikh Ghazouani held one-on-one talks with his Beninese counterpart, who began his first working visit to Mauritania since taking office, before the talks expanded to include members of the Mauritanian and Beninese delegations, without revealing additional details about the meeting's outcomes.
This meeting is a new milestone in a regional tour by Beninese President Romuald Wadani, who was elected president of Benin on April 12 and inaugurated on May 24. Since taking office, he has visited several West African countries and discussed with their leaders ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and develop regional partnerships.
