Kenyan authorities announced that a five-day-old baby, who miraculously survived a gunshot wound to the head during a bloody attack on his family in eastern Tonj County, has been transferred to Nairobi for advanced medical treatment and specialized care.

The tragic attack killed the child's father, mother, and two-year-old sister, leaving the infant as the sole survivor. He left Juba accompanied by three other family members: his maternal uncle, his paternal uncle, and his maternal grandmother.

The minister will cover all costs of medical evacuation and ongoing care. Adut Salva Kiir has assumed responsibility for supporting the child and his caregivers throughout his treatment and beyond.
Albino Kuek Deng, the press secretary in the office of the First Presidential Envoy for Special Programs, bid farewell to the baby and his family at Juba International Airport.

This scene marks the end of media communication with the public regarding the child's condition, after the president's daughter assumed full responsibility for his medical treatment, safety, and future care.
