State Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries, Ismail Sumbe, revealed during his presentation to the Cabinet on June 18 that vegetable production recorded an increase of 14.4% compared to the 2024-2025 season.

He added that the estimated production of grains, including corn, rice and wheat, reached 55,141 tons, an increase of 5% compared to the previous season, while the production of roots and tubers, such as potatoes and sweet potatoes, reached 61,512 tons, registering a similar increase of 5%.
