The Libyan Ministry of Interior, under the Government of National Unity, is expanding its operations to return displaced Sudanese to their country, within the framework of humanitarian cooperation between Libya and Sudan, and in accordance with the instructions of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense.

A few days ago, a group of displaced Sudanese were transported to their country via Mitiga International Airport, after completing the necessary organizational and coordination procedures with the Sudanese Embassy, in order to ensure a safe and organized return.

The Ministry of Interior explained that the step comes in response to a request from the Sudanese government and the desire of the displaced people to return to their country, within a humanitarian framework aimed at organizing and facilitating return operations.

A specialized committee was formed to oversee the implementation of the operations, ensuring compliance with the approved legal framework and organizing the procedures related to the return of displaced persons in a coordinated and safe manner.

These moves come in the context of ongoing humanitarian cooperation between Libya and Sudan, aimed at addressing the situation of displaced persons and alleviating the humanitarian burdens resulting from the situation in the region.
