The Egyptian-Moroccan Businessmen Association held an expanded meeting of its board of directors and general assembly, in one of Hotels The Grand Assembly in Cairo, to discuss the features of the action plan for the next phase, and to discuss preparations for organizing the annual International Economic Conference for 2026.
The meeting was chaired by Major General Ismail Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, in the presence of a number of the Association’s leaders, including Secretary General Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, Vice President of the Association Mohsen Ali, and Executive Director Dr. Souad Butti, in addition to a group of businessmen and investors in various sectors.
The president of the association began his speech by congratulating the attendees on the occasion of the new Hijri year, welcoming the new members, and emphasizing the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Morocco, which are based on close ties of cooperation and partnership, under the support of the political leaderships in both countries to enhance joint cooperation.
Strategic axes that form the roadmap

The meeting reviewed a number of strategic axes that constitute the association’s roadmap for the coming period, most notably supporting digital transformation and activating artificial intelligence tools within the association’s activities, in addition to developing the work of specialized committees and defining their competencies according to clear regulatory frameworks.
The attendees also discussed plans to update the association’s electronic platform, while expanding membership to include investors from Egypt, Morocco and Arab countries, which will contribute to strengthening the network of economic relations and exchanging investment opportunities.
As part of the preparations for the 2026 International Economic Conference, initial organizational arrangements were discussed to ensure that the event reflects the association’s status and its role in supporting regional economic cooperation.
The meeting also addressed ways to achieve the association’s financial sustainability through developing its own resources, in addition to reviewing the work plans of the technology, media and culture committees, and discussing the legal aspects regulating the work of associations in order to make the most of the available opportunities.
The meeting included opening the floor for discussion to the association members to present proposals and visions, and the board of directors affirmed its keenness to study all serious ideas in preparation for implementing them in a way that supports the association’s goals.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Major General Ismail Abdel Aziz expressed his pride in the successes achieved by the association during the past period, stressing the continuation of working in a team spirit to enhance its role in supporting economic relations between Egypt and Morocco, and to achieve the aspirations of the business community in both countries.
