No casualties reported: Massive fire breaks out in Nyakuren West neighborhood
According to initial testimonies from residents of the neighborhood, it is believed that the fire was caused by a sudden electrical short circuit, which caused the flames to spread very quickly inside one of the rooms, before spreading and engulfing the rest of the house.
As soon as the fire broke out, a state of panic and anticipation prevailed among the citizens, especially with the presence of a gas station (pump) on the same road, only a few houses away from the site of the incident.

In the absence and delay of the Civil Defense fire trucks to the scene, a water tanker truck was urgently summoned, and its efforts, in cooperation with citizens, effectively contributed to containing the fire and preventing the flames from spreading to neighboring houses, thus preventing a major humanitarian disaster in the area.

Sources reported that there was only one person inside the burning house at the moment the fire broke out, but he managed to get out and save himself in time before the fire surrounded him, so the extent of the damage was not limited to the huge material losses that were inflicted on the house and its contents.
Residents of the neighborhood have renewed their demands for the provision of nearby fire stations and the activation of emergency lines to ensure a rapid response to such sudden incidents, while praising the heroic role played by the water tanker driver and the citizens in containing the situation.
