أطلقت عمدة مدينة Addis Ababa، أدانيش أبيبي، برنامج الخدمة التطوعية الصيفية، مستهلةً فعالياته بحملة واسعة لتنظيف المدينة.

عمدة العاصمة الإثيوبية تدعو إلى ترسيخ ثقافة النظافة

وخلال حفل الإطلاق، أكدت أدانيش أبيبي أن أديس أبابا كانت تعاني في السابق من تحديات تتعلق بسوء الصرف الصحي ونقص المساحات الخضراء، إلا أن الجهود المبذولة من خلال المشاركة المجتمعية أسهمت في إحداث تحول ملموس في واقع المدينة.

وأوضحت أن أديس أبابا أصبحت اليوم من بين أنظف عشر مدن في أفريقيا، بفضل الأنشطة والمبادرات التي نُفذت خلال السنوات الماضية.

وشددت على أن بعض الأحياء والمناطق لا تزال بحاجة إلى مزيد من الاهتمام، مؤكدةً أن الحفاظ على النظافة يجب ألا يقتصر على الحملات الموسمية، بل ينبغي أن يتحول إلى سلوك يومي وثقافة مجتمعية راسخة.

كما أشارت إلى أنه سيتم تشديد الرقابة لمنع إلقاء النفايات الصلبة في مجاري تصريف مياه الأمطار وشبكات الصرف الصحي، لما قد يسببه ذلك من أضرار ومخاطر إضافية، خاصة مع حلول موسم الأمطار.

وأكدت عميدة المدينة أن النفايات الصلبة تمثل موردًا اقتصاديًا يمكن الاستفادة منه، داعيةً جميع المواطنين إلى الإسهام في جعل أديس أبابا مدينة نظيفة وصحية، من خلال تعزيز الإدارة السليمة للنفايات وترسيخ ثقافة المحافظة على البيئة.

هذه الصياغة تتجنب التكرار بين «عميدة المدينة» و«عمدة»، وتحافظ على أسلوب خبري مهني ومتناسق.

وفي سياق منفصل، شهد مقر الاتحاد African في أديس أبابا في الفترة من 14 إلى 23 مايو 2026 انعقاد فعاليات خلوة موازنة الاتحاد الإفريقي للعام 2027، بمشاركة ممثلين عن الدول الأعضاء وخبراء الشؤون المالية والاقتصادية بالقارة.

Growing challenges for regional and international institutions

The meetings come at a time when the world is witnessing rapid economic and political changes, which pose increasing challenges to regional and international institutions, foremost among them the African Union.

The retreat addressed the discussion of the African Union’s draft budget for 2027, along with a review of the Union’s financing document, and a number of financial and administrative files related to the performance of the Union Commission and its affiliated bodies, with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of institutional work and achieving financial sustainability for the continental organization.

Egypt affirms its support for financial reform within the Union

The Egyptian delegation participating affirmed Egypt’s support for efforts aimed at achieving financial sustainability within the African Union, with a focus on raising the efficiency of the use of available resources from member states, and working to rationalize spending in a way that ensures resources are directed towards development files and strategic priorities for the continent.
