Ugandan Army Chief of Staff inspects projects and infrastructure in Rwanda

أجرى رئيس أركان الدفاع الأوغندي، الجنرال موهوزي كاينيروغابا، جولة تفقدية لعدد من مشاريع البنية التحتية الرئيسية في كيغالي يوم السبت، وذلك ضمن زيارته الرسمية إلى رواندا.
وشملت الزيارة أعمال التوسعة الجارية في مستشفى الملك فيصل، والتي من المقرر أن تضاعف طاقته الاستيعابية من 200 إلى 400 سرير، بالإضافة إلى إضافة وحدة عناية مركزة، وأجنحة لكبار الشخصيات، ومهبط للطائرات المروحية.
كما أجرى كاينيروغابا، جولة في منتزه نياندونغو البيئي ومنطقة باركلين العقارية، حيث سلّط عمدة كيغالي، صموئيل دوسينغيومفا، الضوء على مبادرات التنمية الحضرية في كيغالي.
لقاء قائد الجيش الأوغندي بوفد الصليب الأحمر
استقبل قائد قوات الدفاع في “قوات الدفاع الشعبية الأوغندية” (UPDF)، الفريق موهوزي كاينروغابا، اليوم وفداً من اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر (ICRC) في مقر قيادة القوات الخاصة (SFC).
The ICRC delegation was headed by Keider Oul Omar, the ICRC's regional chief of mission, and included Barbara Rizzoli, deputy chief of mission, and Patricia Baku, head of the prevention department responsible for Uganda.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Defense Forces Commander on their ongoing operations, including efforts to facilitate the return of detainees (prisoners of war) to their countries, restore family links, and reunite families displaced by wars and conflicts.
Establishing a national committee for international humanitarian law
The ICRC delegation also urged the Ugandan government to consider establishing a national commission for international humanitarian law. For his part, the Chief of the Defence Forces commended the ICRC's decades-long efforts in humanitarian work within Uganda, across the region, and globally.
The team, Kainrogaba, particularly appreciated the ICRC's efforts in supporting post-conflict rehabilitation and providing direct relief to victims of conflict.
واشار، إلى أن عملهم يساهم بشكل كبير في إنقاذ الأرواح والحد من المعاناة الإنسانية. كما أكد قائد قوات الدفاع للوفد التزام “قوات الدفاع الشعبية الأوغندية” التام بتقديم الدعم اللازم وتسهيل الوصول والتعاون لضمان التنفيذ السلس لمهمتهم الإنسانية.
