South Sudan: Presidential decree appoints new board of directors for media authority
New board of directors for the Media Authority

The President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, issued a presidential decree dissolving the board of directors of the Media Authority and reconstituting it.
The presidential decree stipulated the appointment of Kongdir Dut as Chairman of the Board, Cecilia Joseph Maker as Vice President, Aju Lol Akuei as Managing Director, and the membership of Kong Val, Nyankoj Ngor, Joan Marina, Emmanuel Mongchol, Michael James Otwar, and David John Kamiri.

Cecilia Joseph Maker is a media professional at the Peace and Reconciliation Commission, and a presenter on South Sudan Television and Radio for a program on women and another on peace and reconciliation to spread the culture of peace among the people of South Sudan. She is also a short story writer who contributes to a newspaper called Voice of the People, and was the Women and Child Secretary for 3 years at the SPLM office in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
She is also a former media secretary at the Popular Movement office in Egypt.
She conducted several activities and training sessions among women in South Sudan and also participated in several conferences representing South Sudan, and worked with the Al-Shihab Foundation for Development and Growth.
