At the African Taekwondo Championships held in Bamako On May 30 and 31, 2026, Burkina Faso won 6 medals, including a gold medal. oneTo achieve third place.
Burkina Faso's national team finished third in the African Taekwondo Championships.

The tournament was held in Bamako, Mali, on May 30 and 31, 2026. At the conclusion of the high-level continental championship, the Burkina Faso national team achieved an outstanding performance, winning 6 medals and finishing in third place.
Burkina Faso's medal haul includes one gold medal, won by Mohamed Traoré; four silver medals, won by Abdouljalil Drabo, Youssouf K. Lagimfar, Trésor Kabore and Chaoukia Koné; and one bronze medal, won by Ida Kévin Bama.
The African Taekwondo Championships are held every two years and are organized by the African Taekwondo Union in conjunction with the South African Taekwondo Federation, both of which are affiliated with the World Taekwondo Federation.
The Moroccan national taekwondo team continued to confirm its continental leadership, winning the championship for the third time in a row, after achieving outstanding results during the African Senior Championships, which was hosted by the city of Bamako in the Republic of Mali, with the participation of 32 African countries and more than 260 players representing the elite of African champions.
With this victory, Morocco has maintained its African leadership in Taekwondo for the third time in a row, following the successes achieved in Kigali 2023 and Abidjan 2024, adding Bamako 2026 to the record of Moroccan achievements, in a clear confirmation of the continuity and excellence of Moroccan sports on the continent.
