The fourth forum, “Libyan Women… Successes,” honors prominent female role models under the auspices of the Ministry of State for Women’s Affairs.

The fourth forum, “Libyan Women… Successes,” was held at the Al-Bilsan Events Hall, amidst a distinguished official and community presence, with the participation of members of the Libyan House of Representatives, members of the municipal councils in Benghazi and Al-Bayda, along with an elite group of female leaders and those interested in public affairs, under the auspices of the Ministry of State for Women’s Affairs in the Libyan government, and organized by Al-Qada Conferences Company.

The forum included the presentation of a number of scientific papers and dialogue sessions that addressed women’s issues, and reviewed models and success stories of Libyan women who have made outstanding contributions in various fields.

Women have proven their ability to bear responsibility

In her speech, the Minister of State for Women’s Affairs in the Libyan government, Intisar Aboud, praised the pioneering role that Libyan women play in building society, stressing that women have proven their ability to bear responsibility and succeed in various work and giving positions, in accordance with customs, traditions and Islamic law, despite the challenges that the country has gone through.

She explained that the ministry pays great attention to supporting women and working to provide an environment that encourages creativity and excellence, by enhancing their participation in public life, appreciating the efforts made to highlight inspiring success stories and to establish a culture of appreciation for Libyan women and their active role in serving the nation.

The forum witnessed the participation of a number of entities and institutions, including the “With Knowledge We Rise” Center, the Libyan Fingers Workshop, the Elite Professional Organization for Social and Psychological Care, and the Kinship Committee, in addition to the official sponsors and media partners, namely: the Akram Association, the Libya Dignity Party, the Libyan News Agency (WAL), the Libyan Platform, Benghazi Youth Radio, and Al-Masar Channel.

The forum concluded with the honoring of a group of distinguished Libyan women in various fields, in recognition of their contributions and achievements in serving the community.
