Congo seeks to strengthen its global diplomatic presence

Therese Kayekwamba Wagner, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Francophonie and Congolese Diaspora, chaired a working session with the Secretaries-General for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, dedicated to reviewing the files of the most important priorities for the second quarter of 2026 in Kinshasa today.

The discussions included, among other things, a review of the regulatory frameworks for foreign affairs and international cooperation, improving the living and working conditions of diplomats, as well as strengthening the diplomatic presence of the Democratic Republic of Congo around the world.

The Minister affirmed her determination to continue reforms aimed at building a more efficient, representative, and capable diplomacy to defend the interests of the Democratic Republic of Congo on the international stage, in line with the vision of the President of the Republic, the Head of State.
