A Saudi Aramco helicopter crashes
Fourteen Saudis were killed on Sunday when an Aramco helicopter crashed in the Ras Tanura area of eastern Saudi Arabia, according to the official Saudi Press Agency.
The agency reported that all those on board the helicopter were killed, while the competent authorities began their investigations to determine the circumstances and causes of the accident.
Saudi authorities have not announced any indications that suggest a hostile act was behind the incident, amid escalating regional tensions and renewed exchanges of fire between Iran and the United States in the Gulf region since Thursday.
The incident comes two days after Aramco resumed crude oil loading operations at Ras Tanura port on Friday, following a halt of nearly four months.
