21 African countries... Tanzania announces list of countries exempt from entry visas to its territory

The Tanzanian government announced Official list of countries Which allows its citizens to enter its territory without the need to obtain a prior visa, as part of updating immigration policies and facilitating movement within the African continent.
21 African countries are exempt.
The list included 21 African countries that enjoy visa-free entry to Tanzania, namely: Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, South Sudan, Eswatini, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
The decision comes as part of Tanzania’s move to promote the free movement of African citizens, which supports trade, investment and tourism, and contributes to strengthening economic cooperation between the countries of the continent.
Trends towards easing travel restrictions are increasing in Africa.
The announcement also reflects a growing trend in Africa towards easing travel restrictions between countries, in line with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which aims to promote economic integration and increase trade and investment among member states.
Observers believe that expanding visa exemptions is an important tool to facilitate the movement of businesspeople, investors and tourists, and to support economic growth, in light of African efforts to build a unified market and enhance regional cooperation.
In another context, Tanzania launched the construction of 4 cargo ships, laid the foundation stone for the sixth section of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project extending from Tabora to Kigoma, and made progress in developing the port of Kigoma, as part of its efforts to restore the region’s economic importance.
The government affirmed that these investments will strengthen transport networks, support trade and investment, provide job opportunities, and reduce transport costs, calling on citizens to protect these projects and take advantage of the economic opportunities they will provide.
In another context, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi participated in the closing session of the meeting of businessmen from the two countries in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the meeting was attended by more than 35 Egyptian businessmen, and about 120 of their Tanzanian counterparts.
