Egypt and Morocco are moving towards expanding coordination between media institutions in the two countries.

Ambassador Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kingdom of MoroccoWith the Director General of the Maghreb Arab Press Agency, Fouad Aref, they discussed ways to enhance media cooperation between Egypt and Morocco, and to expand areas of coordination between media institutions in the two countries.
This came during a visit by the Egyptian ambassador to the headquarters of the Maghreb Arab Press Agency in Rabat, where the two sides discussed mechanisms to support media partnership, reflecting the depth of the historical and fraternal relations that unite Cairo and Rabat, and contributing to strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Strengthening coordination among media institutions

Both sides emphasized the importance of the role of professional media in strengthening relations between the two countries and highlighting their continuous development, stressing the need to enhance coordination between media institutions in a way that serves common interests.
The meeting also reviewed opportunities for cooperation between the Middle East News Agency and the Maghreb Arab Press Agency, especially in the areas of exchanging experiences, journalistic training, digital transformation, and producing media content, in line with the rapid developments witnessed by the media sector.

The Egyptian ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Moroccan media institutions, praising the role played by the Maghreb Arab Press Agency in conveying news and enhancing the Kingdom’s media presence at the regional and international levels.
For his part, the Director General of the Maghreb Arab Press Agency welcomed the visit of the Egyptian Ambassador, reviewing the agency’s activities and areas of work, and stressing its readiness to expand media cooperation with the Egyptian side and exchange experiences in a way that strengthens the fraternal relations between the two countries and supports the joint media partnership.

In another context, the Egyptian Embassy in Abuja organized a series of official meetings for a delegation from Utopia Pharmaceutical Industries, which visited Nigeria from July 19 to 24, 2026, to discuss opportunities for expansion and investment in the largest pharmaceutical market in Africa, in a move aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between Egypt and Nigeria.
Ambassador Mohamed Fouad, Egypt’s ambassador to Nigeria, accompanied by the company’s delegation, held a meeting with the Secretary of the Nigerian Federal Government, Senator George Akume, where the two sides discussed mechanisms to enhance bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry sector, facilitate the entry of Egyptian products into the Nigerian market, and explore joint investment opportunities.
