The company announced Sudanese Mineral Resources Limited signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hope Committee for Voluntary Return, to facilitate the return of 5,000 Sudanese citizens from Egypt to Sudan, as part of supporting voluntary return efforts. For Sudanese Those who are abroad.

The company explained in a statement on its official Facebook page that the agreement was signed on behalf of the company by its General Manager, Mohamed Taher Omar, while the committee was represented by its Chairman, Mohamed Wadah.

The memorandum stipulated the company’s commitment to bear the full costs of the trips, including all services, from Cairo until the returnees arrive at the land port in Khartoum.

The program is scheduled to be implemented via 60 tourist buses departing from Cairo to Khartoum in the coming period, according to what was announced by the organizing committee.

 In response to national responsibility 

The company’s general manager, Mohammed Taher Omar, said that the initiative comes in implementation of the state’s directives, and stems from the company’s social and national responsibility towards citizens who have been forced by circumstances to be outside the country.

He affirmed the company’s commitment to contributing to the reunification of Sudanese families and supporting reconstruction and recovery efforts, expressing his appreciation to Egypt, both government and people, for what he described as their excellent hospitality towards Sudanese people during the past period.

Flights will begin soon

For his part, Mohamed Wadah explained that the flights will begin soon, praising the company's management for its quick response in contributing to the return of citizens.

He added that the initiative comes within the framework of national responsibility, and within a program aimed at meeting the aspirations of Sudanese people wishing to return from abroad, especially in light of the relative improvement in conditions and the keenness of many families to return to the country.
