Yusuf's remarks came on Saturday during his meeting with the Emir of Rano, Muhammad Isa Umaru, who visited him at the Kano State Government Headquarters to offer Eid al-Adha greetings.

A statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sonusi Batori Dawakin Tufa, quoted Yusuf as saying that his government remained committed to implementing policies and development projects focused on the needs of citizens and providing what he called ”the dividends of democracy” to the state’s residents.

The governor noted that his government had made progress in a number of vital sectors, including education, health care, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment and economic development.

He added that these projects were designed to improve basic services, create new opportunities for economic growth, and enhance the well-being of residents in various parts of the state.

New plans and projects for the Emirate of Rano were also announced, including the expansion and dualization of the Karvi-Rano road, the provision of subsidized agricultural fertilizers to farmers, and renovation and development work on the Emirate Palace.

He expressed his appreciation to the residents of the emirate for what he described as their continued support and trust in his government.

For his part, Amir Rano praised the achievements made by the state government during the past three years, stressing that many development projects have contributed to improving the conditions of the population.

He noted the completion of five kilometers of roads in the areas of Rano, Kebia and Bunkori, as well as the continuation of work on the Kalwayway water project.

The Prince also commended the Governor's efforts in supporting the upgrade of the Rano Emirate Hospital to a federal medical center and the transformation of the Rural Technology School in Rano into a federal polytechnic college, considering that these steps will contribute to enhancing health and educational services in the region.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Emir of Rano affirmed the Emirate’s continued support for efforts to promote peace, stability and development in Kano State and throughout Nigeria, stressing the importance of cooperation between government institutions and traditional leaders to achieve comprehensive development and serve the citizens.
