The Deputy Foreign Minister received GhanaDeputy James Yakai Kwaison received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Republic of Ghana, Ambassador Celestin Gervas Kakil, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra.

During the meeting, MP Kwaison recalled the historic fraternal relations between Ghana and Tanzania, which are based on the African principles established by the late leader Osagefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the late founder of Tanzania, the teacher Julius Nyerere, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade, tourism, education and cultural exchange.

For his part, the newly appointed ambassador reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Ghana, expressing optimism about expanding economic cooperation and increasing communication between the two countries’ people.
