France's First Lady calls for protecting children in the age of artificial intelligence

Brigitte Macron, the wife of the French president, confirmed Emmanuel Macron stressed the importance of providing a safe and inclusive digital environment for children, enabling them to grow, learn and thrive amidst rapid technological changes.
Macron explained, in remarks on the sidelines of her participation in the G7 summit, that she joined a number of the wives of the leaders participating in the summit to discuss ways to protect children in the age of artificial intelligence, in light of the great opportunities and increasing challenges posed by these technologies.
The rapid development of technology must be handled responsibly.


She added that the discussions focused on the need to deal responsibly with the rapid development of technology, stressing the importance of concerted efforts by governments, teachers, parents, and technology developers to ensure a safe digital environment that protects children's rights and safety.
The French First Lady stressed that innovation must remain human-centered, with priority given to the well-being and protection of children, emphasizing that the future of technology must support children's abilities, not be a source of risks to them.
She concluded her remarks by emphasizing that building a safe digital world for children is a shared responsibility that requires international cooperation to ensure a balance between technological progress and the protection of future generations.
