Egypt's ambassador to Djibouti praises the development of the Djiboutian coast guard forces

Colonel (Navy) Issa Omar Boukreh, Commander of the Djiboutian Coast Guard, received Ambassador Abdel Rahman Raafat, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Djibouti, accompanied by Colonel Ahmed Hamed, Egyptian Defense Attaché, and Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Quraish, Advisor to the Commander of the Coast Guard. Egyptian NavyThis took place during an official visit to the camp and command center in Doraleh.

The visit comes as part of periodic meetings to follow up on cooperation between the two countries and to exchange views on regional issues of common interest.

Building the human and technical capacities of the Djiboutian Coast Guard forces

The two sides held a session of talks that addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of building the human and technical capacities of the Djiboutian Coast Guard forces, in addition to reviewing the overall regional situation and maritime security issues in light of the rapid developments and their repercussions on maritime and regional security.

Both sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership in a way that supports security and stability in the region, while the Egyptian side presented a technical overview of its capabilities in the field of Marine manufacturingAnd explored opportunities for cooperation that would contribute to supporting the capabilities of the Djiboutian Coast Guard.

Development of the Djibouti Coast Guard

Ambassador Abdel Rahman Raafat praised the progress achieved by the Djiboutian Coast Guard forces under the leadership of Naval Colonel Staff Officer Issa Omar Bougareh, and under the guidance of President Ismail Omar Guelleh, stressing Egypt’s keenness to continue its support to enhance the security of the Red Sea and the safety of navigation.

At the end of the meeting, commemorative gifts were exchanged between the two sides.
