Journalist and writer Abdel Mohsen Salama, a member of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, participated in the launch ceremony of the website Zoom Africa News ZOOM AFRICA NEWS, with the attendance of a number of Egyptian and African officials and experts specializing in African affairs.

An important step to enhance the role of Egyptian media within the African continent.

During his speech on the sidelines of the ceremony, Abdel Mohsen Salama stressed that the launch of the Zoom Africa platform represents an important step to enhance the role of Egyptian media within the African continent, noting that Egypt needs specialized media platforms that deal directly with African affairs.

He explained that the African continent represents national security and the strategic dimension of Egypt, which makes it necessary to pay attention to developing media tools capable of dealing with this vital issue in depth and professionalism.

He added that the existence of a media platform specializing in African affairs would contribute to addressing the issues raised in Egyptian-African policy, serving the common files between the two sides, in addition to supporting efforts to maximize Egyptian-African relations at various levels.

He concluded his remarks by emphasizing that such media initiatives can play a pivotal role in enhancing the Egyptian presence within the continent, and expanding the circles of influence and communication with African countries.

ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website officially launched

 

The official launch ceremony for the ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website was held today, Monday, in the presence of a number of Egyptian and African officials and experts specializing in African affairs.

The conference was attended by a host of officials and experts on African affairs in Egypt, headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Ambassador Karim Sharif, former Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, and a number of Egyptian and African officials and public figures in Cairo.

For her part, journalist Sally Atef, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief, announced the launch of the ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website in three languages, Arabic, English and French, to be the first African portal for news.
