جرى اتصال هاتفى بين الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي، Foreign Minister والتعاون الدولي والمصريين بالخارج، والسيد عباس عراقجي، وزير خارجية الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية يوم الجمعة 26 يونيو، وذلك في إطار متابعة تطورات المسار التفاوضي بين ايران والولايات المتحدة.

أكد الوزير عبد العاطي أهمية مواصلة المباحثات الأمريكية – الإيرانية بكل جدية وحسن نية، وصولا إلى اتفاق نهائي يراعي مصالح وشواغل جميع الأطراف، ويسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين والدوليين، مؤكداً أن الحلول الدبلوماسية تظل السبيل الأمثل لمعالجة القضايا العالقة.
كما أكد الوزير عبد العاطي كذلك على أهمية اجراء حوار إقليمي لمعالجة الشواغل الأمنية لكافة الأطراف، بما يراعي مصالح دول المنطقة، ويسهم في ترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي وفقا لمباديء القانون الدولي وميثاق الامم المتحدة ومبادي حسن الجوار.
The Foreign Minister and his Djiboutian counterpart discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and the situation in the Horn of Africa region.
وفي سياق منفصل، جرى اتصال هاتفي بين الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي، وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي والمصريين بالخارج، وعبد القادر حسين عمر وزير خارجية جيبوتي، يوم الأحد 14 يونيو، لبحث سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية وتبادل الآراء حول تطورات الأوضاع في منطقة القرن الأفريقي.
Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Abdel-Aati praised the momentum witnessed in the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the mutual keenness to develop and enhance cooperation in various fields, especially in the field of energy, logistics, ports, maritime connectivity and infrastructure.
Implementing joint projects to boost trade volume between the two countries
He stressed the importance of continuing coordination to implement joint projects, which would contribute to increasing the volume of trade between the two countries, encouraging investments, supporting the participation of the Egyptian private sector in the Djiboutian market, in addition to strengthening technical cooperation in the field of capacity building through technical courses organized by Egyptian institutions.
Regarding developments in the Horn of Africa, the two ministers exchanged views on the latest security and political developments in the region, and ways to support efforts to achieve stability and promote regional peace and security.
Minister Abdel-Aati reiterated the importance of supporting national state institutions and preserving the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the countries of the region, rejecting any unilateral measures that would infringe upon the sovereignty of states or undermine the foundations of stability in the region, and rejecting any attempts to impose parallel entities that conflict with the unity and territorial integrity of the countries.
The two ministers also affirmed their commitment to continued coordination and consultation on various regional and international issues, and to efforts to establish peace, security and stability in the African continent, particularly in the Horn of Africa region and the Red Sea.
