Guinea is located in Central Africa and is one of the smallest countries on the continent in terms of area. It is bordered by Cameroon to the north, Gabon to the east and south, and the Gulf of Guinea to the west.

Egypt has a distinguished historical relationship with Guinea since Guinea’s independence from Spain on October 12, 1968. Cooperative relations between the two countries have continued since then, and Egypt has been keen to support Guinean personnel through training courses organized by the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa in coordination with various government agencies in many fields such as health, judiciary, police, agriculture, education, training of diplomats, and others.
