The security services of the Ministry of Interior arrested a Sudanese refugee, after a video clip was widely circulated on social media showing him inside a metro station talking to an Egyptian conscript, in an incident that sparked widespread controversy and great interaction among users in the past few hours.
The swift security action came after the videos circulating were monitored by the security follow-up sector. The circulating content was examined carefully, and it was found that he appeared in a verbal altercation or argument inside the metro station, which prompted the competent authorities to deal immediately with the incident to uncover its circumstances.
Initial investigations led to the identification of the person appearing in the video, and he was apprehended in a short time and taken to the competent investigation authorities to begin hearing his statements and confronting him with the results of the investigations and technical examinations carried out by the concerned authorities regarding the incident.
The video clip had spread widely on social media platforms, showing the Sudanese refugee talking to one of the recruits inside the metro station, which sparked controversy and questions among social media users about the details and circumstances of the incident.
Initial information indicated that the recruit dealt with the situation in accordance with the instructions and procedures followed, while the competent authorities were notified and in turn took over to examine the incident, verify its truth and take the necessary measures regarding it.
The security services are continuing their efforts to complete the investigations and gather information related to the incident, in order to determine all its details and motives, while the competent investigation authorities are carrying out their work in preparation for taking the appropriate legal decision in accordance with the results of the investigations.
