World Environment Day: A global call to protect planet Earth
And it is World Day The Environment Day, celebrated on June 5th of each year, is an important international occasion aimed at raising awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and preserving the resources of planet Earth. This day comes to emphasize that the environment is not just an ocean in which we live, but rather the basis of life and its continuation for all living beings.
Planet Earth is under pressure... and the environment is crying out for help on its World Day.
The environment is an integrated system that includes natural elements such as air, water and soil, along with other man-made elements. This system provides the basic resources that humans depend on in their daily lives. However, these resources are facing great pressure today as a result of urban expansion, industrial progress and the excessive use of natural resources.
Modern human activities have contributed to the emergence of numerous serious environmental challenges, such as pollution of all kinds, rising global temperatures due to greenhouse gas emissions, the decline in biodiversity, and the loss of natural balance in many ecosystems. These problems not only affect the environment but also extend to human health, the economy, and the future.
The concept of the environment is divided into two main types: a natural environment, which includes mountains, rivers, seas, and deserts, and a human environment, which is created by humans through cities, infrastructure, and economic activities. The stability of life depends on achieving a delicate balance between these two types to ensure the sustainability of resources.
