President Abdel Fattah received SisiToday in El Alamein, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, head of the Government of National Unity of Libya, was present, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, and Minister Hassan Rashad, Head of General Intelligence, and from the Libyan side, Mr. Ibrahim Dbeibah, National Security Advisor, and Mr. Walid Al-Lafi, Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the President welcomed the visit of the head of the Libyan Government of National Unity to Egypt, stressing his Excellency the historical and fraternal ties that unite Egypt and Libya, and emphasizing the need to intensify work to strengthen these relations in various fields in a way that achieves the interests of the two brotherly peoples, and advances the relations and bonds of cooperation that have extended for years between them.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson, indicated that the President affirmed that Egypt has always been committed to the stability and prosperity of its sister nation, Libya, and has given great importance to supporting peace and stability in Libya and ensuring its unity and territorial integrity. The President also addressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in promising sectors, particularly electricity, energy, infrastructure, and reconstruction, as well as working to increase the volume of trade and investment between the two countries.
The official spokesperson added that the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity expressed his appreciation for the visit to Egypt and the meeting with the President, emphasizing the pivotal nature of the relations between Egypt and Libya. He also noted the importance of continuing to work on enhancing these relations in all priority areas, in order to achieve development and prosperity in both brotherly countries. In the same vein, the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity commended Egypt's supportive stance on the security and stability of Libya, affirming that this reflects the depth of the historical ties between the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

The official spokesperson stated that the meeting also addressed the latest regional and international developments, with both sides exploring opportunities for joint coordination to maintain regional peace and stability. In this context, emphasis was placed on the importance of resolving the various conflicts plaguing the region through dialogue and peaceful means to achieve regional peace. In this regard, both sides agreed to intensify existing consultations and coordination between the two countries to address shared challenges.
