America imported $430 million worth of clothing from Egypt during the first half of 2026

According to Marzouk’s statements to Al Arabiya Business, the value of Egyptian clothing sales to the United States this year is witnessing an increase compared to last year, which recorded $379 million, in the same period of 2025, which means exceeding 13% of sales volume.
Thus, the total exports of Egyptian ready-made garments to the US markets during the period from January to the end of last April amounted to about $1.150 billion, compared to $1 billion during the same period in 2025, with a growth of 15%, according to the estimate of the head of the Export Council.

America tops the list of countries that import the most clothing from Egypt.
According to Marzouk, America alone accounted for a share equivalent to 37.3% of the total Egyptian ready-made garment exports during the aforementioned period.
He explained that the European continent completely controlled 44.6% of exports, while the Arab region came in third place with 13.9%, among the regions that import the most ready-made clothes from Egypt.
Türkiye came in second place among the countries that imported the most Egyptian clothing during the aforementioned period, with exports valued at $135 million.
Spain came in third with $102 million, while Germany came in fourth with $67 million, and Saudi Arabia came in fifth with $57 million.
Fadel Marzouk, head of the ready-made garments export council in Egypt, pointed out that Egyptian ready-made garment exports rose to $287 million last April.
He explained that this comes in comparison to sales volume of approximately $216 million in April 2025, with a growth of 33%, which is the highest monthly growth rate recorded since the beginning of 2026.
Ready-made garment exports in Egypt
The head of the Export Council confirmed that the levels of demand for Egyptian products in foreign markets are witnessing a remarkable improvement, which explains the growth of ready-made garment exports at an average rate of 10% during the first three months of this year.
The Export Council for Ready-Made Garments has been working with a clear vision recently, aiming to raise the sector’s exports to $4.3 billion by the end of this year, compared to 3.4 billion Egyptian pounds in 2025, with a growth of 22%, according to “Marzouk”.
