La R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo a annul\u00e9 le stage d'entra\u00eenement de son \u00e9quipe nationale de football en vue de la Coupe du monde \u00e0 Kinshasa suite \u00e0 une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie d'Ebola dans l'est du pays.<\/p>\n

L'\u00e9quipe poursuivra sa pr\u00e9paration en Belgique tandis que les autorit\u00e9s r\u00e9agissent \u00e0 la crise sanitaire qui aurait caus\u00e9 plus de 130 d\u00e9c\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

Ebola est une urgence de sant\u00e9 publique<\/h2>\n

L\u2019Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie \u201c urgence de sant\u00e9 publique de port\u00e9e internationale \u201d, tout en soulignant qu\u2019elle ne constitue pas une pand\u00e9mie.<\/p>\n

Le porte-parole de l'\u00e9quipe, Jerry Kalimo, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les matchs amicaux en Europe se d\u00e9rouleront comme pr\u00e9vu, alors que l'\u00e9quipe se pr\u00e9pare pour sa premi\u00e8re participation \u00e0 la Coupe du monde depuis 1974.<\/p>\n

L'\u00e9quipe nationale de football de la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo doit affronter le Danemark en Belgique le 3 juin et le Chili en Espagne le 9 juin.<\/p>\n

L'un des pays h\u00f4tes de la Coupe du monde 2026 interdit 3<\/h2>\n

Les autorit\u00e9s ont \u00e9galement annonc\u00e9 l'annulation du camp de Kinshasa en raison des restrictions de voyage impos\u00e9es aux \u00c9tats-Unis, l'un des pays h\u00f4tes de la Coupe du monde avec le Mexique et le Canada, o\u00f9 les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires am\u00e9ricaines ont interdit l'entr\u00e9e aux non-citoyens ayant r\u00e9cemment s\u00e9journ\u00e9 en R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo, en Ouganda ou au Soudan du Sud.<\/p>\n

Il convient de noter que tous les joueurs, ainsi que l'entra\u00eeneur-chef S\u00e9bastien Desabre, r\u00e9sident \u00e0 l'\u00e9tranger, ce qui signifie que les restrictions ne devraient pas affecter l'\u00e9quipe maintenant que le camp d'entra\u00eenement local a \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Selon les informations disponibles, l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement pr\u00e9vu \u00e0 Kinshasa devait attirer des supporters et des personnalit\u00e9s officielles, dont le pr\u00e9sident F\u00e9lix Tshisekedi.<\/p>\n

Kinshasa se situe \u00e0 environ 1 800 kilom\u00e8tres de la province d'Ituri, \u00e0 l'est, \u00e9picentre de l'\u00e9pid\u00e9mie, et aucun cas n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9 dans la capitale.<\/p>\n

Les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires travaillent toujours avec deux chiffres diff\u00e9rents : l'Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 a signal\u00e9 139 d\u00e9c\u00e8s parmi environ 600 cas suspects, tandis que le minist\u00e8re congolais de la Sant\u00e9 a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00e0 la cha\u00eene de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision publique RTNC qu'il avait enregistr\u00e9 159 d\u00e9c\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

L'\u00e9pid\u00e9mie est due \u00e0 une souche rare du virus Ebola appel\u00e9e Bundibugyo. Il n'existe actuellement aucun vaccin homologu\u00e9 contre cette souche, et l'Organisation mondiale de la Sant\u00e9 indique que la mise au point d'un vaccin pourrait prendre jusqu'\u00e0 neuf mois.<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, les pays h\u00f4tes de la Coupe du monde ont annonc\u00e9 lundi qu'ils renforceraient les contr\u00f4les sanitaires aux fronti\u00e8res et que les visiteurs \u00e9trangers ayant s\u00e9journ\u00e9 au cours des 21 derniers jours en Ouganda, au Congo ou au Soudan du Sud se verraient interdire l'entr\u00e9e sur leur territoire. Cependant, des responsables am\u00e9ricains ont confirm\u00e9 que l'\u00e9quipe nationale congolaise s'entra\u00eene actuellement en Europe et n'est donc pas concern\u00e9e par ces mesures. De plus, aucun des joueurs s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s n'\u00e9volue actuellement dans le championnat congolais.<\/p>\n

En remportant son match de barrage continental contre la Jama\u00efque, le Congo s'est qualifi\u00e9 pour la Coupe du monde pour la deuxi\u00e8me fois de son histoire.
