L\u2019ambassadeur du Cameroun au Caire, le Dr Mohamadou Labarang, a affirm\u00e9 que son pays et l\u2019\u00c9gypte continuent de travailler ensemble pour soutenir et promouvoir la paix, la stabilit\u00e9 et le r\u00e8glement pacifique des conflits aux niveaux r\u00e9gional et international.<\/p>\n

Ces propos ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tenus lors du discours prononc\u00e9 mercredi soir par l'ambassadeur Lebring \u00e0 l'occasion de la f\u00eate nationale organis\u00e9e par l'ambassade du Cameroun au Caire, en pr\u00e9sence du Dr Jehan Zaki, ministre de la Culture, repr\u00e9sentant le Premier ministre Dr Mostafa Madbouly, du vice-ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, l'ambassadeur Mohamed Abu Bakr, de l'ambassadeur Karim Sherif, ministre adjoint des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res charg\u00e9 des affaires africaines, ainsi que de plusieurs responsables et ambassadeurs \u00e9gyptiens accr\u00e9dit\u00e9s en \u00c9gypte.<\/p>\n

L'ambassadeur du Cameroun a salu\u00e9 les relations historiques qui unissent les deux pays dans divers domaines, soulignant l'importance de continuer \u00e0 renforcer la coop\u00e9ration \u00e9conomique et notant \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard la pr\u00e9sence de plusieurs entreprises \u00e9gyptiennes op\u00e9rant au Cameroun.<\/p>\n

Il a expliqu\u00e9 que le Cameroun, qui c\u00e9l\u00e9brait sa f\u00eate nationale, avait r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 son attachement \u00e0 la d\u00e9mocratie et au pluralisme en organisant des \u00e9lections qui ont vu la victoire du pr\u00e9sident Paul Biya, et a soulign\u00e9 que ces \u00e9lections s'\u00e9taient d\u00e9roul\u00e9es dans un climat pacifique. Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9voqu\u00e9 les r\u00e9formes entreprises par le Cameroun, notamment la cr\u00e9ation du poste de vice-pr\u00e9sident, et a insist\u00e9 sur les nombreux succ\u00e8s remport\u00e9s par la diplomatie camerounaise ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, dont la nomination de diplomates camerounais \u00e0 des postes de haut rang aux Nations Unies.<\/p>\n

En conclusion, l'ambassadeur au Lebrunj a exprim\u00e9, au nom du gouvernement et du peuple camerounais, ses remerciements et sa reconnaissance au Premier ministre et au ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res.<\/p>\n

Des relations que l'\u00c9gypte ch\u00e9rit<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour sa part, le Dr Jehan Zaki a transmis les salutations et les f\u00e9licitations du Dr Mustafa Madbouly, et a \u00e9galement f\u00e9licit\u00e9 le gouvernement et le peuple du Cameroun ainsi que les membres de la communaut\u00e9 camerounaise en \u00c9gypte \u00e0 l'occasion de la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la f\u00eate nationale.<\/p>\n

Le ministre de la Culture a affirm\u00e9 la fiert\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00c9gypte quant aux relations fraternelles et historiques qui l\u2019unissent au Cameroun, soulignant que l\u2019\u00c9gypte avait \u00e9t\u00e9 parmi les premiers pays \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre l\u2019ind\u00e9pendance du Cameroun en 1960.<\/p>\n

Elle a ajout\u00e9 que les deux pays entretiennent des relations \u00e9troites dans les domaines politique, diplomatique, \u00e9conomique et culturel, exprimant l\u2019espoir de l\u2019\u00c9gypte d\u2019une participation de haut niveau de la partie camerounaise au Sommet de coordination de l\u2019Union africaine qui doit se tenir \u00e0 El Alamein en juin prochain.<\/p>\n

Zaki a soulign\u00e9 la volont\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00c9gypte de renforcer sa coop\u00e9ration culturelle avec le Cameroun, notamment dans les domaines du patrimoine, des arts et des industries culturelles et cr\u00e9atives, en s\u2019appuyant sur la conviction du Caire quant au r\u00f4le de la culture dans la promotion du rapprochement entre les peuples.<\/p>\n

Elle a \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9 que son exp\u00e9rience universitaire lui permettait d'enseigner et d'encadrer des \u00e9tudiants et des chercheurs africains, notamment des \u00e9tudiants camerounais, consid\u00e9rant que ce r\u00f4le comporte une dimension humanitaire en plus de sa responsabilit\u00e9 acad\u00e9mique.<\/p>\n

Le ministre de la Culture a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 le r\u00f4le du sport, et notamment du football, dans le renforcement des relations entre les deux pays, soulignant que plusieurs clubs \u00e9gyptiens ont compt\u00e9 dans leurs rangs d'\u00e9minents joueurs camerounais qui sont entr\u00e9s dans la l\u00e9gende du sport \u00e9gyptien et ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 consolider les liens d'amiti\u00e9 entre les deux peuples.<\/p>\n
