Ahmed Sharif, ambassadeur d'\u00c9gypte aupr\u00e8s de Afrique du Sud<\/a> Le Botswana et le Lesotho, ainsi que le repr\u00e9sentant permanent de l\u2019\u00c9gypte aupr\u00e8s de la SADC, ont organis\u00e9 un \u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e9conomique \u00e0 Pretoria pour promouvoir le premier Forum des affaires africain \u201c\u00a0Forum Alamein 2026\u00a0\u201d, qui devrait se tenir \u00e0 New Alamein City du 25 au 27 juin 2026, et pour mettre en lumi\u00e8re les r\u00e9cents d\u00e9veloppements de l\u2019\u00e9conomie \u00e9gyptienne.<\/p>\n

Des repr\u00e9sentants des entit\u00e9s impliqu\u00e9es dans l'organisation du forum ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement, notamment Mme Nardos Bekele-Thomas, PDG de l'agence AUDA-NEPAD, M. Fernando Balderrama, charg\u00e9 des investissements au bureau de la Banque africaine de d\u00e9veloppement (BAD) en Afrique du Sud, et M. Ronnie Ntuli, membre du conseil d'administration de la Banque africaine d'import-export (Afreximbank) et pr\u00e9sident du groupe d'investissement dans les infrastructures sud-africain Thelo.<\/p>\n

L'\u00e9v\u00e9nement a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9 par une pr\u00e9sentation des objectifs et des th\u00e8mes du \u201c Forum d'El Alamein 2026 \u201d. L'ambassadeur Ahmed Sherif a soulign\u00e9 l'important potentiel \u00e9conomique du continent africain, notamment la taille de son march\u00e9, ses ressources humaines et les opportunit\u00e9s offertes par la Zone de libre-\u00e9change continentale africaine (ZLECAf). Il a insist\u00e9 sur le fait que le principal d\u00e9fi consiste \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre les projets de d\u00e9veloppement convenus de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 garantir une utilisation optimale des ressources et des capacit\u00e9s du continent. Il a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que c'est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l'objectif du \u201c Forum d'El Alamein \u201d, qui vise \u00e0 cr\u00e9er une plateforme continentale r\u00e9unissant les gouvernements, les institutions financi\u00e8res et le secteur priv\u00e9 afin d'explorer les opportunit\u00e9s d'affaires, d'investissement et de partenariat sur le continent.<\/p>\n

L'ambassadeur \u00e9gyptien a appel\u00e9 les repr\u00e9sentants du monde des affaires et les ambassadeurs africains participant \u00e0 l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e0 encourager la participation au forum et \u00e0 le promouvoir dans leurs pays.<\/p>\n

Mme Nardos Bekele-Thomas, directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale d'AUDA-NEPAD, a soulign\u00e9 que le Forum d'El Alamein vise non seulement \u00e0 offrir une plateforme de dialogue et d'\u00e9change d'id\u00e9es, mais surtout \u00e0 constituer un outil concret pour nouer des partenariats d'investissement entre les gouvernements, le secteur priv\u00e9 et les institutions financi\u00e8res africaines et internationales. Elle a \u00e9galement invit\u00e9 les acteurs du secteur priv\u00e9 sud-africain et africain \u00e0 participer activement au forum et \u00e0 tirer parti des opportunit\u00e9s d'investissement et de partenariat qui y seront pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Pour sa part, Ronnie Ntuli, membre du conseil d'administration de la Banque africaine d'import-export (Afreximbank) et pr\u00e9sident du groupe Thelo, a salu\u00e9 l'exp\u00e9rience de d\u00e9veloppement de l'\u00c9gypte et les progr\u00e8s consid\u00e9rables qu'elle a accomplis ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es dans les secteurs des infrastructures, de l'\u00e9nergie et de l'am\u00e9nagement urbain. Il a affirm\u00e9 que l'\u00c9gypte constitue un mod\u00e8le pour les pays africains en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9alisation de projets d'infrastructures de calibre mondial.<\/p>\n

Ronnie Ntuli a \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9 l'approche \u00e9gyptienne ax\u00e9e sur les r\u00e9sultats pour \u00e9valuer son exp\u00e9rience de d\u00e9veloppement, notant que l'\u00c9gypte n'\u00e9value pas ses progr\u00e8s uniquement en examinant les politiques adopt\u00e9es, mais aussi en mesurant les r\u00e9sultats concrets obtenus sur le terrain. Cela permet une \u00e9valuation plus pr\u00e9cise, fond\u00e9e sur la mise en \u0153uvre effective et l'impact r\u00e9el des projets. Il a \u00e9galement invit\u00e9 les entreprises sud-africaines et africaines \u00e0 participer activement au forum et \u00e0 nouer de nouveaux partenariats \u00e9conomiques et d'investissement.<\/p>\n

De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Fernando Balderrama, charg\u00e9 des investissements \u00e0 la Banque africaine de d\u00e9veloppement (BAD) en Afrique du Sud, a soulign\u00e9 le r\u00f4le crucial de l'\u00c9gypte dans la mise en place de plateformes renfor\u00e7ant l'agenda des investissements africains et soutenant les partenariats sur le continent. Il a not\u00e9 que l'\u00c9gypte et l'Afrique du Sud illustrent l'importance du leadership r\u00e9gional dans la phase \u00e0 venir.
