Le porte-parole officiel de la pr\u00e9sidence de la R\u00e9publique a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le pr\u00e9sident Yoweri Museveni avait accueilli le pr\u00e9sident Sissi \u00e0 son arriv\u00e9e au palais pr\u00e9sidentiel. Une photo comm\u00e9morative des deux pr\u00e9sidents a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise et les d\u00e9l\u00e9gations officielles des deux pays se sont serr\u00e9 la main. Une r\u00e9union \u00e9largie s'est ensuite tenue en pr\u00e9sence des d\u00e9l\u00e9gations, suivie d'une r\u00e9union bilat\u00e9rale \u00e0 huis clos entre les deux pr\u00e9sidents. Le pr\u00e9sident Museveni a ensuite sign\u00e9 le livre d'or du palais pr\u00e9sidentiel.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ambassadeur Mohamed El Shenawy, porte-parole officiel, a indiqu\u00e9 que le pr\u00e9sident avait ouvert la r\u00e9union en f\u00e9licitant le pr\u00e9sident Museveni pour sa r\u00e9\u00e9lection \u00e0 un nouveau mandat pr\u00e9sidentiel, soulignant que cela refl\u00e9tait la confiance du peuple ougandais en son leadership \u00e9clair\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Il a \u00e9galement exprim\u00e9 la fiert\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00c9gypte quant aux relations privil\u00e9gi\u00e9es qu\u2019elle entretient avec l\u2019Ouganda et \u00e0 la dynamique croissante qu\u2019elles connaissent, soulignant l\u2019importance de renforcer la coop\u00e9ration dans les domaines de l\u2019agriculture, de l\u2019irrigation et des soins de sant\u00e9, ainsi que la participation du personnel ougandais aux programmes de formation \u00e9gyptiens.<\/p>\n

Dans ce contexte, le Pr\u00e9sident a renouvel\u00e9 son invitation au Pr\u00e9sident Museveni \u00e0 participer au Sommet de coordination de l'Union africaine, que l'\u00c9gypte accueillera en juin 2026, ainsi qu'au Forum des entreprises africaines organis\u00e9 en marge de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, notamment compte tenu du fait que l'Ouganda assure actuellement la pr\u00e9sidence de la Communaut\u00e9 d'Afrique de l'Est.<\/p>\n

De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, le pr\u00e9sident Museveni a accueilli le pr\u00e9sident \u00e9gyptien, exprimant sa profonde reconnaissance pour son leadership et pour le r\u00f4le actif de l'\u00c9gypte sur la sc\u00e8ne africaine et internationale. Il a \u00e9galement salu\u00e9 la coop\u00e9ration existante entre les deux pays, la consid\u00e9rant comme un mod\u00e8le d'int\u00e9gration pour les nations africaines. Le pr\u00e9sident Museveni a ensuite expos\u00e9 les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par son pays pour atteindre le d\u00e9veloppement conform\u00e9ment au Plan national de d\u00e9veloppement 2040, en soulignant les domaines dans lesquels l'Ouganda souhaite renforcer sa coop\u00e9ration avec l'\u00c9gypte et en insistant sur les vastes perspectives d'am\u00e9lioration des relations bilat\u00e9rales.<\/p>\n

Les deux pr\u00e9sidents ont \u00e9galement \u00e9chang\u00e9 leurs points de vue sur plusieurs questions d'int\u00e9r\u00eat commun, notamment la situation au Soudan, en Libye et dans les territoires palestiniens occup\u00e9s. Le pr\u00e9sident Museveni a soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour les pays voisins de jouer un r\u00f4le constructif dans le r\u00e9tablissement de la stabilit\u00e9 et l'instauration d'une paix durable. Tous deux ont insist\u00e9 sur l'importance d'intensifier la coordination et la coop\u00e9ration concernant les questions li\u00e9es \u00e0 l'eau et au Nil. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, le pr\u00e9sident Museveni a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 la vision de son pays pour parvenir \u00e0 la stabilit\u00e9 sur le continent et mettre fin aux conflits, en soulignant l'importance de solutions nationales et africaines qui tiennent compte des sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s et des \u00e9quilibres fragiles du continent.<\/p>\n
