Le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'Agence nationale de lutte contre la drogue, Mohammed Bouba Marwa, a fait cette annonce mardi lors de la r\u00e9ception d'une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation de la Commission ghan\u00e9enne de lutte contre les stup\u00e9fiants (NACOC) au si\u00e8ge de l'agence \u00e0 Abuja.<\/p>\n

Il a soulign\u00e9 que cette visite met en \u00e9vidence les liens historiques entre le Nig\u00e9ria et le Ghana, ajoutant qu'une coop\u00e9ration renforc\u00e9e dans les op\u00e9rations de renseignement, les strat\u00e9gies de lutte contre le terrorisme et la criminalistique num\u00e9rique r\u00e9duirait consid\u00e9rablement l'espace op\u00e9rationnel disponible pour les bandes criminelles.<\/p>\n

Selon lui, cette coop\u00e9ration va au-del\u00e0 d'un simple voyage d'\u00e9tude, puisqu'il s'agit d'une coordination strat\u00e9gique visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la coordination op\u00e9rationnelle, \u00e0 renforcer la coop\u00e9ration technique et \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des initiatives de formation conjointes.<\/p>\n

Un \u00e9v\u00e9nement marquant de cette visite a \u00e9t\u00e9 la signature d'un protocole d'accord entre l'Agence nationale de contr\u00f4le des drogues (NDLEA) et le Centre national de contr\u00f4le des drogues (NACOC) visant \u00e0 lutter contre la production illicite de substances psychotropes, de leurs pr\u00e9curseurs et les activit\u00e9s de blanchiment d'argent qui y sont li\u00e9es. Marwa a qualifi\u00e9 cet accord d'\u00e9tape cruciale vers la mise en place d'un front uni et organis\u00e9 contre le trafic de stup\u00e9fiants dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n

Dans son discours, Mante a salu\u00e9 le r\u00f4le de premier plan du Nig\u00e9ria en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale, le d\u00e9crivant comme le \u201c partenaire le plus important \u201d dont l\u2019exp\u00e9rience et les capacit\u00e9s institutionnelles continuent de guider les efforts de coop\u00e9ration en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest.<\/p>\n

Il a soulign\u00e9 que l'\u00e9volution du trafic de drogue \u2013 caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par des m\u00e9thodes de contrebande sophistiqu\u00e9es, un recours accru aux voies maritimes et la propagation des drogues de synth\u00e8se \u2013 exige une coop\u00e9ration r\u00e9gionale renforc\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Il a soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 que le protocole d'accord r\u00e9cemment sign\u00e9 produise des r\u00e9sultats concrets, notamment un meilleur partage des renseignements, des op\u00e9rations conjointes et une coop\u00e9ration institutionnelle durable entre les deux agences.<\/p>\n
