Le gouvernement a annonc\u00e9 Zambie<\/a> La construction de l'h\u00f4pital de canc\u00e9rologie de Livingston a officiellement d\u00e9but\u00e9, une initiative visant \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des services de sant\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s et \u00e0 \u00e9largir l'acc\u00e8s aux traitements contre le cancer dans le pays.<\/p>\n

Selon les informations recueillies sur place, le nouvel h\u00f4pital, dont la construction est estim\u00e9e \u00e0 Son co\u00fbt<\/a> Avec un investissement de plus de 422 millions de kwachas et une capacit\u00e9 d'environ 70 lits, la construction devrait \u00eatre achev\u00e9e dans les 12 mois, afin de fournir des services int\u00e9gr\u00e9s comprenant le diagnostic, le traitement et le soutien m\u00e9dical aux patients atteints de cancer.<\/p>\n

Lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d'inauguration, le ministre de la Sant\u00e9, Alex Katakwe, a soulign\u00e9 que ce projet t\u00e9moigne de l'engagement du gouvernement \u00e0 renforcer le secteur de la sant\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des investissements dans des infrastructures modernes capables de r\u00e9pondre aux besoins des citoyens.<\/p>\n

Il a expliqu\u00e9 que l'h\u00f4pital offrira des services de pointe qui r\u00e9duiront la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour les patients de parcourir de longues distances \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur du pays ou de se rendre \u00e0 l'\u00e9tranger pour se faire soigner, ce qui contribuera \u00e0 all\u00e9ger le fardeau financier et psychologique pesant sur les patients et leurs familles.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Strat\u00e9gie nationale pour \u00e9tendre les services m\u00e9dicaux<\/span><\/h4>\n

Le ministre a soulign\u00e9 que ce projet s'inscrit dans une strat\u00e9gie plus large visant \u00e0 r\u00e9partir les services de sant\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s dans diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions, garantissant ainsi un acc\u00e8s \u00e9quitable \u00e0 des services m\u00e9dicaux de haute qualit\u00e9 pour tous les citoyens.<\/p>\n

Pour sa part, Rodney Sicumba, le ministre du Tourisme, a expliqu\u00e9 que le nouvel h\u00f4pital rev\u00eat une importance \u00e9conomique consid\u00e9rable, car il devrait contribuer \u00e0 faire de la ville de Livingstone un centre r\u00e9gional du tourisme m\u00e9dical.<\/p>\n

Il a ajout\u00e9 que le projet pourrait attirer des patients des pays voisins comme le Zimbabwe et le Botswana, et offrir des opportunit\u00e9s d'emploi aux communaut\u00e9s locales pendant les phases de construction et d'exploitation.<\/p>\n

Pour sa part, Eunice Nawa a d\u00e9crit le projet comme un \u201c symbole d\u2019espoir \u201d pour de nombreuses familles touch\u00e9es par le cancer, soulignant qu\u2019il contribuera \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux soins de sant\u00e9, notamment dans les provinces du sud et de l\u2019ouest du pays.<\/p>\n
