Le secteur de l'aviation int\u00e9rieure nig\u00e9riane est confront\u00e9 \u00e0 des perturbations potentielles, l'Autorit\u00e9 nig\u00e9riane des compagnies a\u00e9riennes ayant publi\u00e9 un avis mettant en garde contre d'\u00e9ventuelles suspensions de vols, en raison d'une forte hausse des prix du k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n

Le prix du k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne, utilis\u00e9 comme carburant pour avions, a augment\u00e9 d'environ 3\u00a0001\u00a0000\u00a0000\u00a0nairas, passant de 900\u00a0nairas (0,67\u00a0dollar am\u00e9ricain) \u00e0 3\u00a0300\u00a0nairas le litre. Cette hausse est excessive pour le Nig\u00e9ria.<\/p>\n

Cette situation se d\u00e9roule dans un contexte de tensions plus larges sur le march\u00e9 de l'\u00e9nergie, li\u00e9es au conflit en Iran. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 qu'environ 701 TP3 tonnes de k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne destin\u00e9es \u00e0 l'Afrique transitent par le d\u00e9troit d'Ormuz, le prix du carburant sur le continent a atteint 171 dollars le baril, selon Platts.<\/p>\n

Des experts mettent d\u00e9j\u00e0 en garde contre d'\u00e9ventuelles perturbations d'approvisionnement dans plusieurs a\u00e9roports africains si la crise persiste.<\/p>\n

Le 10 mars, la Zambie disposait de r\u00e9serves de carburant suffisantes pour environ dix jours, contre trois \u00e0 quatre semaines en Afrique du Sud. Le Kenya, quant \u00e0 lui, disposait de r\u00e9serves suffisantes pour environ cinquante jours.<\/p>\n

Les faiblesses structurelles exacerbent la crise<\/h2>\n

La pression actuelle sur les cha\u00eenes d'approvisionnement en carburant exacerbe les d\u00e9fis structurels chroniques auxquels est confront\u00e9 le secteur a\u00e9ronautique africain.<\/p>\n

Le k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne est achet\u00e9 sur le continent \u00e0 des prix sup\u00e9rieurs d'au moins 171 000 milliards de yuans \u00e0 la moyenne mondiale. M\u00eame avant la crise actuelle, il repr\u00e9sentait une part importante des co\u00fbts d'exploitation.<\/p>\n

Selon l'Association des compagnies a\u00e9riennes africaines, le carburant repr\u00e9sente entre 301 TP3T et 401 TP3T des d\u00e9penses d'exploitation des compagnies a\u00e9riennes africaines, contre une moyenne mondiale comprise entre 201 TP3T et 251 TP3T.<\/p>\n

Les passagers doivent payer les frais de carburant<\/h3>\n

Alors que les compagnies a\u00e9riennes nig\u00e9rianes ont laiss\u00e9 entendre qu'elles pourraient suspendre leurs vols, d'autres compagnies a\u00e9riennes du continent ont choisi de r\u00e9percuter le co\u00fbt du carburant sur les passagers.<\/p>\n

En Afrique du Sud, South African Airways et FlySphere ont toutes deux impos\u00e9 des surtaxes carburant suppl\u00e9mentaires temporaires en mars.<\/p>\n

Si la d\u00e9cision de suspendre les vols est mise en \u0153uvre, les probl\u00e8mes de transport pourraient s'aggraver dans un pays qui souffre d\u00e9j\u00e0 de graves embouteillages et d'un r\u00e9seau ferroviaire insuffisant.<\/p>\n

Le transport a\u00e9rien s'est impos\u00e9 ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es comme une option de plus en plus pratique pour les d\u00e9placements int\u00e9rieurs. L'Autorit\u00e9 f\u00e9d\u00e9rale des a\u00e9roports du Nig\u00e9ria a enregistr\u00e9 plus de 10,5 millions de passagers sur les vols int\u00e9rieurs en 2025.<\/p>\n
