Le pape L\u00e9on XIV, pape du Saint-Si\u00e8ge, s'appr\u00eate \u00e0 lancer l'une des plus importantes tourn\u00e9es apostoliques sur le continent africain, du 13 au 23 avril, lors d'une visite qui comprendra quatre pays : l'Alg\u00e9rie, le Cameroun, l'Angola et la Guin\u00e9e \u00e9quatoriale, et traversera 11 villes pendant 11 jours remplis de rencontres, de pri\u00e8res et de messages politiques et humanitaires.<\/p>\n

Ce prochain voyage est le troisi\u00e8me d\u00e9placement apostolique hors d'Italie depuis le d\u00e9but de son pontificat, et il comporte des dimensions religieuses, diplomatiques et culturelles, refl\u00e9tant la vision du Vatican de promouvoir le dialogue interreligieux, de soutenir les efforts de paix et de se rapprocher des communaut\u00e9s locales en Afrique qui constatent une pr\u00e9sence catholique croissante.<\/p>\n

L'Alg\u00e9rie repr\u00e9sente une \u00e9tape historique et un commencement aux implications profondes.<\/h1>\n

Le voyage d\u00e9bute \u00e0 Alger (du 13 au 15 avril), la capitale, avec la premi\u00e8re visite papale de l'histoire moderne du pays, ce qui lui conf\u00e8re un caract\u00e8re exceptionnel. Au programme\u00a0: un arr\u00eat au M\u00e9morial des Martyrs, suivi d'une rencontre avec le pr\u00e9sident Abdelmadjid Tebboune au Palais pr\u00e9sidentiel.<\/p>\n

Le pape visitera \u00e9galement la Grande Mosqu\u00e9e d'Alger, dans un message clair de dialogue islamo-chr\u00e9tien, avant de rencontrer la communaut\u00e9 chr\u00e9tienne \u00e0 la cath\u00e9drale Notre-Dame d'Afrique.<\/p>\n

Le lendemain, il se rend \u00e0 Annaba pour visiter les ruines historiques d'Hippone et la cath\u00e9drale Saint-Augustin, se rem\u00e9morant l'h\u00e9ritage de l'un des plus \u00e9minents P\u00e8res de l'\u00c9glise dont le nom est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 cette ville.<\/p>\n

Le Cameroun envoie des messages de paix et d'unit\u00e9 nationale<\/h2>\n

Le pape se rendra dans la capitale Yaound\u00e9 du 15 au 18 avril, o\u00f9 il rencontrera le pr\u00e9sident Paul Biya, puis visitera des institutions humanitaires et religieuses.<\/p>\n

Sa visite \u00e0 Bamenda rev\u00eat une importance particuli\u00e8re, car la r\u00e9gion conna\u00eet des tensions internes, ce qui conf\u00e8re \u00e0 la r\u00e9union pour la paix \u00e0 la cath\u00e9drale Saint-Joseph une forte dimension symbolique.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 Douala, le pape pr\u00e9sidera une messe au stade Japoma et visitera l'h\u00f4pital Saint-Paul, avant une rencontre universitaire \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 catholique d'Afrique centrale.<\/p>\n

Angola : Visites spirituelles et humanitaires \u00e9mouvantes<\/h3>\n

Dans la capitale Luanda, du 18 au 21 avril, le pape rencontrera le pr\u00e9sident Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, puis se rendra \u00e0 Kilamba et M\u00faxima, o\u00f9 se trouve le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre sanctuaire de la Vierge Marie, un lieu religieux d'une grande importance pour les Angolais.<\/p>\n

La tourn\u00e9e comprend \u00e9galement une visite \u00e0 Saurimo, o\u00f9 il rencontre les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es, pr\u00e9side une messe ouverte \u00e0 tous et s'adresse aux pr\u00eatres et aux agents pastoraux.<\/p>\n

Guin\u00e9e \u00e9quatoriale : Conclusion humanitaire et messages de solidarit\u00e9<\/h1>\n

Le pape arrive dans la capitale, Malabo (21-23 avril), o\u00f9 il rencontre le pr\u00e9sident Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo et visite des \u00e9tablissements d'enseignement et de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Il se rend ensuite \u00e0 Mongomo et Bata, o\u00f9 il visite une prison locale, se recueille en pri\u00e8re au m\u00e9morial des victimes des attentats du 7 mars 2021 et rencontre des jeunes et des familles au stade de Bata.<\/p>\n

Le voyage s'ach\u00e8ve par une grande messe \u00e0 Malabo avant le retour \u00e0 Rome.<\/p>\n

L'ampleur de cette visite pr\u00e9vue d\u00e9passe largement le cadre d'un simple p\u00e8lerinage.<\/h2>\n

Cette visite v\u00e9hicule plusieurs messages\u00a0:
\n-Promouvoir le dialogue interreligieux, notamment en Alg\u00e9rie.
\n- Soutenir la paix et la r\u00e9conciliation au Cameroun.
\n- Mettre en lumi\u00e8re la dimension spirituelle et humaine en Angola.
