Dans un mouvement qui refl\u00e8te un changement radical dans la gestion des ressources naturelles, le gouvernement du Burkina Faso, dirig\u00e9 par le Capitaine Ibrahim Traor\u00e9, a annonc\u00e9 l'octroi de la premi\u00e8re licence mini\u00e8re industrielle \u00e0 la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d'exploitation mini\u00e8re nationale SOPAMIB pour le d\u00e9veloppement du projet de Pouobolo. \u00a0Pour l'or<\/a>dans le cadre d'une strat\u00e9gie visant \u00e0 mettre fin \u00e0 la domination des entreprises \u00e9trang\u00e8res et \u00e0 renforcer le contr\u00f4le de l'\u00c9tat sur le secteur minier.<\/p>\n

Projet strat\u00e9gique avec un investissement de plus de 56 millions de dollars<\/h2>\n

Le projet Popolo est situ\u00e9 dans la commune de Yako, au nord du centre du Burkina Faso, et son exploitation devrait s'\u00e9tendre sur plus de 15 ans.<\/p>\n

Selon les d\u00e9cisions du Conseil des ministres, un investissement initial d'environ 32 milliards de francs CFA, soit l'\u00e9quivalent de 56,1 millions de dollars, sera inject\u00e9 dans le projet, qui deviendra ainsi l'un des projets miniers les plus importants g\u00e9r\u00e9s directement par l'\u00c9tat.<\/p>\n

Les estimations g\u00e9ologiques indiquent que la mine produira plus de 7 tonnes m\u00e9triques d'or pendant sa dur\u00e9e de vie, tandis que le gouvernement s'attend \u00e0 ce qu'elle rapporte plus de 68,4 millions de dollars au Tr\u00e9sor public par le biais de taxes et de redevances, sans compter les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices qui reviendront \u00e0 l'\u00c9tat en tant que propri\u00e9taire principal du projet.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9volution dans la gestion du secteur minier<\/h2>\n

Le ministre des Mines, Yacouba Zibri Gouba, a d\u00e9crit le projet comme une \u201c r\u00e9volution structurelle \u201d dans le secteur minier, soulignant que le gouvernement cherche \u00e0 transformer l'\u00c9tat d'un simple percepteur de taxes en un acteur majeur qui poss\u00e8de et g\u00e8re ses actifs miniers et en tire pleinement parti.<\/p>\n

Cette orientation s'inscrit dans le cadre de r\u00e9formes \u00e9conomiques men\u00e9es par le pr\u00e9sident Ibrahim Traor\u00e9, ax\u00e9es sur la maximisation de la valeur ajout\u00e9e des ressources naturelles, le soutien au contenu local et la r\u00e9duction de la d\u00e9pendance vis-\u00e0-vis des entreprises \u00e9trang\u00e8res.<\/p>\n

Mettre fin au r\u00e9gime des privil\u00e8ges \u00e9trangers<\/h2>\n

Avant cette d\u00e9cision, les concessions d'exploration dans la r\u00e9gion de Poubara \u00e9taient g\u00e9r\u00e9es par des entreprises priv\u00e9es, dont la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 canadienne Nexus Gold Corp, qui \u00e9tait responsable de l'exploration et du d\u00e9veloppement, tandis que l'\u00c9tat ne recevait que des revenus limit\u00e9s et des parts non influentes.<\/p>\n

Aujourd'hui, le gouvernement a r\u00e9activ\u00e9 la SOPAMIB, cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 2014, pour mener \u00e0 bien ses propres op\u00e9rations mini\u00e8res, dans le but de r\u00e9orienter les revenus de l'or vers le financement de projets d'infrastructure, le renforcement de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et le soutien aux programmes de d\u00e9veloppement local.<\/p>\n

Ce changement refl\u00e8te une tendance croissante dans la r\u00e9gion du Sahel, o\u00f9 plusieurs pays africains adoptent des politiques donnant aux gouvernements un r\u00f4le plus important dans la gestion des ressources naturelles, afin de garantir une augmentation des revenus \u00e9conomiques et une exploitation maximale des richesses nationales.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
