Le peuple \u201c Achanti \u201d est l'un des peuples les plus distingu\u00e9s d'Afrique de l'Ouest, attach\u00e9 aux coutumes et traditions.<\/p>\n

Ils se sont install\u00e9s au c\u0153ur du Ghana, et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment autour de sa capitale historique \u201c Kumasi \u201d, fondant l'un des empires les plus puissants et les mieux organis\u00e9s de l'histoire de la r\u00e9gion, et leur h\u00e9ritage vit encore, vibrant d'une mani\u00e8re diff\u00e9rente et incomparable.<\/p>\n

Les clans du peuple Ashante<\/h2>\n

Au lieu que le pouvoir soit dispers\u00e9 parmi le peuple Ashanti, il est organis\u00e9 selon une structure bas\u00e9e sur des clans matrilin\u00e9aires et une monarchie sacr\u00e9e dirig\u00e9e par l'Asantehene.<\/p>\n

Et son tr\u00f4ne, le si\u00e8ge d'or l\u00e9gendaire, connu sous le nom de \u201c Sika Dwa Kofi \u201d, n'est pas un simple si\u00e8ge ordinaire comme celui que nos yeux connaissent, mais le symbole vivant de l'esprit de la nation Ashanti.<\/p>\n

Le tr\u00f4ne du roi.. est tomb\u00e9 du ciel<\/h2>\n

Car selon leur tradition ancestrale, il descendrait du ciel, ce qui lui conf\u00e8re une sacralit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re, et il est absolument interdit qu'il touche le sol ou que quiconque, y compris le roi lui-m\u00eame, s'y assoie.<\/p>\n

Les palais et r\u00e9sidences royales, orn\u00e9s de symboles \u201cAdinkra\u201d porteurs de proverbes et de sagesse ancestrale, demeurent le centre festif et spirituel de la vie akan.<\/p>\n

Bien que les influences modernes s'y soient infiltr\u00e9es progressivement, le peuple Ashanti tient fi\u00e8rement \u00e0 pr\u00e9server ses traditions ; on peut y observer les festivals color\u00e9s d'Akwasidae.<\/p>\n

L\u00e0 o\u00f9 les chefs d\u00e9filent en procession sous d'immenses parasols de c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, portant les c\u00e9l\u00e8bres tissus Kente, tiss\u00e9s \u00e0 la main avec des motifs qui incarnent l'histoire et la philosophie, et orn\u00e9s de bijoux en or, m\u00e9tal historiquement associ\u00e9 \u00e0 la puissance et \u00e0 la richesse de l'empire.<\/p>\n

Un h\u00e9ritage vivant d'anciens poids d'or<\/h2>\n

De nombreuses familles conservent encore les anciens poids d'or (abrammuo) qui \u00e9taient autrefois utilis\u00e9s pour peser le m\u00e9tal dans les transactions commerciales, et les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations se transmettent les histoires d\u201c\u201dAnansi\" (Anansi), l'araign\u00e9e maligne et sournoise.<\/p>\n
